PLANTING and AFTERCARE GUIDE
Best Planting Time

The best time to plant Inula magnifica is in spring or early autumn, when the soil is moist and workable. Planting during these periods allows the roots to establish properly before active growth begins.

Site Selection

Sunlight: Inula magnifica thrives in full sun, where it will produce the best flowering display and strong upright growth.

Soil: Well-drained soil is important for healthy growth. Improving the soil with compost or organic matter before planting will help provide nutrients and improve soil structure.

Planting Instructions
  1. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and the same depth.
  2. Mix compost or organic matter into the excavated soil.
  3. Position Inula magnifica so the top of the root ball is level with the surrounding soil.
  4. Backfill gently, firm lightly, and water thoroughly after planting to help the plant establish.
Watering Requirements

Keep the soil evenly moist while Inula magnifica is establishing. Once established, plants are fairly low maintenance but benefit from watering during prolonged dry periods.

Feeding

Apply a balanced fertiliser in spring to encourage healthy foliage and flower production. A yearly mulch around Inula magnifica will help maintain soil fertility and moisture levels.

Pruning

Remove faded flowers to keep the plant tidy and encourage continued flowering. Cut back stems at the end of the growing season to maintain a neat shape.

Mulching

Apply organic mulch around the base in spring to retain moisture, suppress weeds, and improve soil quality, helping Inula magnifica grow well.

Final Tips

With full sun, well-drained soil, and regular watering during dry periods, Inula magnifica will provide bright summer colour and reliable garden performance year after year.
