PLANTING and AFTERCARE GUIDE
Best Planting Time

Plant Achillea millefolium ‘Strawberry Seduction’ in spring or autumn to give it time to establish a strong root system before flowering.

Site Selection
  • Sunlight: Achillea millefolium ‘Strawberry Seduction’ thrives in full sun. Choose a bright location to ensure abundant blooms.
  • Soil: Well-drained soil is essential. Amend heavier soils with compost or grit to improve drainage.
Planting Instructions
  1. Prepare the Soil: Dig a hole that is twice the width of the plant’s root ball and as deep as the root system.
  2. Planting: Position the plant with the root ball level to the soil surface, then backfill the hole with soil and firm it gently.
  3. Watering: Water thoroughly after planting to settle the soil and encourage good root establishment.
Watering

Once established, Achillea is drought-tolerant. Water occasionally during prolonged dry periods to promote flowering but avoid waterlogged conditions.

Feeding

Achillea millefolium ‘Strawberry Seduction’ benefits from a light application of balanced fertiliser in early spring. This will support its initial growth and encourage more blooms throughout the season.

Pruning
  • Deadheading: Regularly remove spent blooms to prolong flowering and maintain the plant’s appearance.
  • Autumn Care: After flowering, cut back the plant to the base to prepare it for winter dormancy.
Mulching

Apply a layer of organic mulch around the base of the plant in spring to help retain moisture, suppress weeds, and improve soil structure.

Winter Protection

Although hardy, additional mulching in colder regions can help protect the roots and provide insulation through the winter.

Achillea millefolium ‘Strawberry Seduction’ will bring vibrant colour and texture to your garden, rewarding you with long-lasting blooms and plenty of pollinator activity.
