Golden Privet (Hedging)

Golden Privet hedging is  slower growing that the green variety expect 8″ to 16″ per year. Container plants can be planted anytime of year, plant 1ft apart. Keep well watered during the growing season in the first year, then their roots should have established enough to take up the water they need. Trim in the summer months to encourage the formation of dense, formal garden hedge that is resistant to pollution, making it a popular choice in urban and suburban gardens. Will grow well virtually anywhere other than wet sites in full sun/ part shade. Dig in a bag of our Farmyard manure when planting and top dress each spring to improve soil.
