Centaurea montana

Mat-forming robust perennial with narrow grey-green leaves. Large, spidery lilac-blue flowerheads with a rich-purple centre. Height 45cm. Spread 60cm. Flowers May-August. Full sun. Moist, well-drained soil. Hardy.
