Cardoon. A handsome clump-forming perennial with deeply cut, silvery grey leaves. Majestic, honey scented, thistle-like purple flowerheads, produced on grey woolly stems. Height 1.5m. Spread 1.2m. Flowers June to September. Full sun. Hardy.
