A bushy upright, fragrant shrub, with mid green leaves. Narrow goblet shaped purple/red flowers on the outside and paler inside, produced from dark burgundy buds in mid spring. Height 4m. Spread 3m. Flowers from April to June. Full sun/partial shade. Hardy. Thrives in a sheltered position, in fertile, well drained soil, that is slightly acidic.
