An extremely hardy variety that will take winter temperatures of -40°C. Pretty bell shaped, light-purple flowers are produced in large numbers, contrasted by beautiful dark burgundy-purple foliage from June to September. Height 55cm. Spread 45cm. Full sun/partial shade, well-drained soil. Hardy.

A website full of plants that would be impossible to find in my local nurseries / garden centres, and the packaging is better than I have ever witnessed for an online seller. And let me tell you, have I received some absolute shockers from other retailers.
Proctor’s may not be local to me, but they are certainly going to be seeing plenty of my business in the future.
Regarding my purchase, Penstemon Dakota Burgundy, it was leaf perfect, had a very healthy root system and will certainly be the right plant in the right place in my pollinator friendly haven.
